It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Julie has been feeling so disconnected with the Christmas season being here.  It's summer, it's hot, it's green, many of the Christmas season events that we treasure are back home.  Almost all of our family is on the other side the world.

So I surprised Julie by setting up a borrowed Christmas tree, with lights and tree skirt without her knowing.  I also got two Christmas stockings and found a couple of small items to put in hers.   She was so delighted when she came into the room and has been feeling better since.

It's Christmas Eve here right now.  We just finished singing in the community Christmas choir this evening.  About 50 people helped (choir, solos, instruments, sound and lighting, etc) and presented to the meeting house filled to capacity (about 400 people).

We walked home because the evening was so delightful (clear, warm and dry).  When we got home, we turned the Christmas tree lights on.

The traditions of Christmas feel so good, even here in PNG.  Traditions help us stay connected and remember.

To all of you, we pray you will connect and remain connected to the One who sent His Son 2000 years ago to connect us to Him.  God is worthy of our love and praise, for He has loved us with a great love.

Merry Christmas, world.
