Many of you have been waiting the past couple of days to learn what we've decided about the opportunity in PNG. Some of you have dropped us emails, eager to hear where we were in this decision. Thanks for asking.
Since my return, Julie and I have been busy this weekend talking, praying, asking for prayer from our elder and pastor, talking to some close people, and getting information about PNG from those that have lived there.
We fully trust God and have decided to keep moving forward, feeling as positive as we can that this is His will. We also trust, if we’re wrong, that God will firmly close the door.
We believe the need in PNG for both of us is very real and that God can and will use us to meet this need. We expect to experience his guidance and blessings. We also know that we will be stretched by difficult situations plus will be engaged in spiritual warfare.
Continue to pray for us as we inform JAARS of our decision, determine how to get everything done in so short a time, and plan a couple of special trips to family and a key supporting church before we leave.
