When we first arrived, there were two bamboo fishing platforms out in the bay. We were told that there had been dozens, but they were destroyed in a storm. During the month we were there, we would see one or two more platforms each day when we came home from work. These will remain until the next big storm. This is a country of building and rebuilding. That’s just how it is.
