Agarabi Luke Translation

It is so wonderful to know that people back home are holding us up in prayer.

Today Julie went to Laurie S’s home at the top of the hill to learn how to make yogurt and tortillas.  The yogurt will be a great base for salad dressings and other recipes.

Ron, the NT translator for the Agarabi people
On the way back to our home here, the Lord used an unusual circumstance to bring me in contact with the translator of the Agarabi NT.  Julie stopped to talk to two women returning from a nearby yard sale.  A family here has finished their NT and is selling everything before they leave.  So Julie turned in at the sale and it turned out that the man was the translator of the language she is editing in audio version.

Julie has the assignment here of editing the just-recorded audio version of the Gospel of Luke.  But she had no script to follow and had to work completely by ear and instinct. Now Ron Olsen, the translator, will bring Julie a script on Monday.  This is a huge blessing from the Lord and will help her create a much nicer recording with hopefully greater impact on those that hear the good news about Jesus Christ.

Also one of the women has a citrus squeezer she is not using and she will lend it to Julie while we are here.  Little blessings along the way—gifts and reminders from our loving heavenly Father.
