Neither rain nor snow...

I was browsing through the various newsgroups (places where people can post/read/respond to topics of interest) on our computer network here and ran across this response to "how long is it taking for you to get mail and packages?".

Enjoy.

Our experience with mail from the UK has been random recently. The last thing we got came very quickly - maybe 10 days. It was a small, light package. Other things have taken longer, but unless there are items we just haven't received and don't know about, most mail has come in 2-3 weeks for us. BUT, we do ask our family to put 'Near Australia' on the address now. We had a bunch of stuff go via Guyana a few years ago - Christmas presents arrived in April after a round the world tour, with "Mis-sent via Guyana" stamped all over them. The British education system obviously doesn't major on world geography!

So I should send your Christmas presents now?
